Bamboo Privacy Trellis

I did some work on a privacy trellis today, made out of the bamboo I mentioned a couple posts ago. I cut 6 pieces of bamboo intended to be the upright posts. I wired them to the south end (I actually got out my iPhone and checked the compass to know it was the south!) of the deck with wire. Tomorrow I may attempt a couple cross-pieces to ascertain whether I like how it looks. Right now the verdict is out. The bamboo is far too warped for my tastes, but maybe some cross-peices and eventually some vines will improve the thing.

Mainly I just want some privacy from the South Miami wannabees. If this works, great. If not, I’ll build something else.
