First Tomato
I’ve seen a number of garden writers posting that they’ve now gotten their first tomatoes in the last few days. My tomatoes heard the news and gave one up for me – a perfect, blemish-free cherry tomato. I ate it as soon as I took the photo. Very sweet and flavorful. Can’t wait for more.
Edit:
I should mention I plucked a couple tomato hornworm larvae from one of my plants a couple days ago. So far I haven’t seen any more leaf-munching save what the pillbugs do to the leaves that touch the mulch. But I suppose this means I have to be vigilant. I’m sure more leaf predators are on their way.
